The Czech Social Security Administration has agreed with the Czech Post to allow payment pensions using a power of attorney. It is therefore not necessary for the recipient of the pension to take it into his own hands.
This is a temporary measure against the spread of coronavirus and should only apply for the duration of the emergency. It concerns the acceptance of an installment, which is paid in cash at regular monthly intervals – including previously deposited uncollected installments.
“A power of attorney can only be granted by a pension recipient who has no other recipient. Form it must be signed by the recipient of the pension and the agent, “writes the Czech Social Security Administration.
“Upon presentation of the power of attorney, the Czech Post will verify the identity of the agent according to the identity card using the data provided on this form. The signature of the representative confirming the receipt of the pension and the duration of the conditions for its payment will be compared with the signature specimen on the identity card, “adds the CSSA.
