Dacia is going through one of the most glorious periods in its entire history and does not seem to calm down too soon. Its first electric car, the Dacia Spring, has already registered an important victory.
It’s been a long time since we started talking about Dacia Spring, the first electric car of the giant from Mioveni. Now, at last, it has begun to be marketed. It’s not just a prototype anymore. In the first phase, deliveries were made in several important markets in Europe, including France. In this context, we already have some references related to car sales created under the Renault umbrella.
How well does Dacia Spring, the Romanian electric car, sell?
September did not end well either and we have a clear picture of the fact that there are many reasons for joy in Mioveni. Not for nothing, but Spring is in the top sales in the electrical segment in France. In his journey to this position, he surpassed the sales in the electrical segment of significantly more famous models, such as VW ID.3, Fiat 500e or Kia e-Niro.
Beyond the position in the ranking, the actual number of registered units is important, and the new Spring, on the territory of France, registered on 2000 cars sold. This value was enough to fight on an equal footing with the leaders of this market segment. It is important to note that it is not the best-selling electric car in the region, but is in fourth place, just one copy away from the Peugeot e-208. In first place in September, in the electrical segment in France, was Tesla Model 3, with 2,833 units, and in second place was Renault Zoe, with 2,382 registered units.
For the entire year 2021, even though it was recently launched, Dacia Spring already occupies a position in the top 10, with 3500 cars registered in France. On the first nine places, in front of the Romanian model assembled in China, are Tesla Model 3 (18,501 units), Renault Zoe (15,504), Peugeot e-208 (13,154), Fiat 500 e (6,862), Renault Twingo (5,782), Kia e-Niro (4894), VW ID.3 (3909), Peugeot (e-2008 (3,864), Hyundai Kona (3,581).
