Netflix has previously announced that it will start to crack down on parasitic accounts in the global market at the end of the first quarter of this year. Although the exact date has not been announced, if you look at the end of the first season, there are only less than 90 days left. In addition, in fact, since last year, Netflix has been testing shared accounts in some countries one after another, restricting only co-residents to share accounts, and non-co-residents must charge an extra fee, the fee is about 3 US dollars, about NT$90.
Netflix will detect through computer IP, equipment, and account activity status. If you are caught in a parasitic account, you will frantically skip “Enter the verification code” to confirm, and the verification code will be sent to the main account, which is when the parasitic user watches the movie , you will be constantly disturbed. If you want to continue watching, you must always contact the user of the main account and ask him to send the verification code. Netflix also keeps sending verification codes until the parasitic account is willing to pay extra.
Netflix stated that the account will have a main location set as “home”, which will be confirmed using information such as IP location, device ID and account number, but if the user uses TV to watch outside the home, they will have to pay more. However, if you have not used the TV login account in the same place, it will be considered as a “travel” status by the system, and you will be allowed to watch it for free for 2 weeks without paying for the shared account, but only once a year in the same place.
