With the aim of reaching a greater number of people so that with their gesture of solidarity they contribute their grain of sand, from the Official College of Pharmacists of Albacete and Asprona it has been decided to extend the solidarity campaign entitled “Let nothing prevent you from saving lives ”, which is part of the collaboration agreement that both institutions have signed, and which is the result of the initiative of people with intellectual disabilities or the development of the Asprona Occupational Center, through the Service Learning project (ApS).
The campaign will be operational until March 18. During the duration of the same, any citizen can collaborate well by buying masks in the 242 community pharmacies in the capital and the province and donating them for this initiative or by entering the money through Bizum at number 00948 or at the pharmacy itself. With the funds raised, surgical masks and FPP2 will be purchased, which will be distributed among the most vulnerable people of the Sacred Heart Charity Institution, Margarita Naseau Social Work, Accem, Gypsy Secretariat and Cáritas Diocesana. In addition, it will be the architects of this project themselves, that is, people with intellectual or developmental disabilities from the San Ginés de Asprona Occupational Center who will be in charge of making them reach these groups, so that they in turn distribute them among users without resources. economic services to those they serve, since most do not have sufficient income to purchase this protective material against Covid-19, which is mandatory and a protection barrier against contagion in times of pandemic that we live in.
All pharmacies already have informative posters on the development of this campaign, which have been published thanks to the collaboration of the Albacete Provincial Council, material that has also been distributed in other shops and establishments in the city and the province, with the in order to give greater visibility to the initiative and that a greater number of people demonstrate their solidarity with those most in need.
As a complement, the promoters of this initiative have produced an illustrative video of the campaign “Let nothing prevent you from saving lives”, in order to further disseminate the project through social networks.
Once the campaign is over, the money donated by the population will be counted and the number of units of masks to be distributed among the most vulnerable will be quantified.
