The advantage of Starlink should be mainly in its speed of a few gigabits per second. Starlink wants to offer connections especially in remote and developing areas where internet access is not easy.
This amount is higher than how much Czech operators normally offer their fastest internet. For example, O2 offers 1000 Mbit / s internet for about 700 crowns a month. T-Mobile offers the same service for 600 crowns.
Starlink already has the relevant official permit in the Czech Republic, satellites are already flying our territory, so there should be nothing serious to prevent the launch. In addition, Elon Musk recently promised that the beta test is coming to an end and Starlink is ready for live operation. The service is currently available in 16 countries around the world, in addition to neighboring Germany and Austria, it has been officially operating in Poland since September.

SpaceX, which operates Starlink, has already acquired public IPv4 addresses geolocated for the Czechia. Those interested in pre-ordering Starlink were then contacted by the company with a survey of how much they would be willing to pay for using satellite internet.
In the meantime, the order form on Starlink.com has also changed. After entering the Czech address, it still states that the expected availability is in 2022. However, the pre-order can now be made in crowns. The monthly fee (and at the same time the deposit) is 2579 crowns. The dish and modem are sold for 12,999 crowns, delivery is for 1,599 crowns.
