The most affordable TV using an organic diode panel is currently the LG OLED48A13LA. An authorized LG Shop dealer only sells it for 15,990 CZK. It is a knock-out model from 2021, which cost almost twice as much when it was launched.
Even today, it still has something to say if a smaller screen is enough for you in the living room, or if you would like to use this TV as a computer monitor. The panel has a 48″ resolution of 3840 × 2160 px, a frequency of 50 Hz and supports 10-bit colors. It also understands HDR (HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG), but due to the maximum brightness of 450 nits (in peaks), don’t expect any miracles.
Inside you will find tuners for DVB-T2/S2/C and the webOS operating system, which together with Ethernet and Wi-Fi will also make applications and Internet broadcasting available. On the body we find three HDMI 2.0, two USB 2.0, optical and headphone output. The TV itself then contains stereo speakers with a power of 20 W and support for Dolby Atmos.
As for connecting to a PC, using HDMI will of course not be a problem. In addition, there is an ALLM mode to reduce latencies. However, the absence of a variable frame rate will freeze, so it will expect a smooth 60 frames per second from the computer. But that will bother the players more. VRR is usually deployed only in models with a frequency of 100/120 Hz, and these cost over 20,000.
