In the TV24 program “Press Club”, director Andrejs Īkis tells how his food buying habits have changed over the past two years.

“I have bought 100 kilograms of canned meat at home,” says Ekis.
Ekis points out that every day he listens to what is happening in Ukraine and experiences it.
“I would very much like Russia to be recognized as a terrorist state. [..] We live next to such a funny creation, where one person has captured the whole world,” says the director.
Īkis reveals that when the war in Ukraine started, he thought about where it would be worth leaving if the war started in Latvia as well.
“Then I realized where I’m going to go, at least I need to buy canned goods, some kind of proactive action, just in case. [..] You can laugh at me. I understood that something must be done, at least 100 kilograms of canned fish must be bought. [..]Īkis explains his choice.
