“You can feel the DNA here too”: TSV Havelse without Daedlow in Freiburg’s Dreisamstadion

The anticipation is great at TSV Havelse on the game at SC Freiburg II (Saturday, 2 p.m.). This is the longest long-distance trip for the third division kickers from Garbsen, for which they have to set out early on Friday afternoon – but the day after they play in the traditional Dreisam Stadium.

The Freiburg professionals have just swapped it for a modern arena, but the amateurs are now allowed in. Another plus. But “this special Freiburg DNA” can also be felt in the junior team anyway, says Havel’s sports director Matthias Limbach.

It is not DNA that professional coach Christian Streich has carried exclusively into the club. “It has been deeply rooted in the club for a long time, and the U23s are looked at very closely. You can see how many players regularly make it from the young talent center to the professionals and are encouraged. ”A few examples: national player Christian Günter, Olympic player Keven Schlotterbeck and 285-time first division player Jonathan Schmid.

“Flum is a real rocket for this team”

The list could easily be expanded. Johannes Flum (33) also went through the Freiburg soccer forge and became a seasoned professional soccer player. Freiburg, Frankfurt, St. Pauli – and back. The veteran is kicking again in Breisgau and is now leading the SC’s third division talent squad as captain. “He’s a real rocket for this team,” knows TSV manager Limbach. He also knows Flum from the 3rd division’s Media Day: “He’s a really good guy, very down to earth, very loyal. He has this Freiburg DNA in him and is an absolute leader for the talents there. “

The Havels sensation climbers are also talented, but they didn’t bring enough points. The TSV rarely brings the existing class more than half-time on the pitch – that is also a lack of quality and brings the last place in the table.

Scoring goals is a particular problem. Twelve hits in 15 games, the quota is not enough for a break. Havelse would therefore not defend themselves if a suitable striker fell into their hands in the winter transfer window.

Oliver Daedlow was operated on in the Dresden University Hospital on Tuesday.

“It must also be feasible”

Limbach is offered a dozen players per week, including one or the other bigger name. But: “It’s not enough if someone is interesting. It also has to be feasible. ”The newcomer is economical and has by far the smallest budget of all third division clubs. Winter shopping would have to forego salary – or a lending club would have to take over large parts. Completely unsure whether the right offer will come.

Co-promoted Freiburg has only scored one more goal than the Havelser (13 hits, 14th place in the table). The talent team also lacks a goalscorer. Best shooter: Vincent Vermeij from the Netherlands with three goals. That makes the Freiburg offensive a bit “less calculable”, thinks Limbach, but in the end it is “like us. You also don’t have anyone who hits reliably. “

At TSV, four share the “top” score: Kianz Froese, Fynn Lakenmacher, Yannik Jaeschke and defender Tobias Fölster all have two goals in their books.

Daedlow operates in Dresden

The injury to Oliver Daedlow (21) turned out to be a metatarsal fracture. Luck in misfortune: Because it’s not a complicated break, the six could be operational again after a month and a half break. The young professional, who was awarded by Hansa Rostock to Havelse, had received a blow against Zwickau and was operated on in the Dresden University Clinic on Tuesday.
