A few weeks after the malfunction that shut down Facebook and Instagram for about an hour and a half, users around the world reported a malfunction in WhatsApp, which is also owned by Meta. The site downdetector, which monitors the activity of various services on the network, warned that many users around the world reported a malfunction in the service, that they could not receive or send messages in the smartphone application nor in the computer version.
