That’s it, it’s good, it’s good, it’s official, it’s the end of the wait: the Rozó has opened reservations for the month of May. We know that you are lively and lively: that means that the restaurant, starred in its Lille version, is reopening its doors in Marcq-en-Barœul.
A simple little email, with not that much text, announcing that you can reserve your table for the new Rozó. This is what we received in our mailboxes a few days ago:
“After several months of waiting, we are delighted to announce the upcoming opening of our new establishment in Marcq-en-Barœul. Nestled in the premises of a former printing press, a typical industrial building of the region adorned with bricks, rich in beautiful windows and a striking metal frame, the gastronomic establishment invites you to live a unique culinary experience. You will enjoy an intimate atmosphere of about forty seats inside a spacious and bright place. Looking forward to see you there !“
If you want, we’ll give you a little history. Diego Delbecq, the chef, and Camille Pailleau, the pastry chef, opened Rozó in Old Lille at the very end of 2017. Barely a year later, for its 2019 edition, the Michelin Guide awarded them a star for this cuisine so fine and worked, filled with love, madness and passion. Time passes, the place is always full, the services follow one another and the success remains. But the place, rue de la Monnaie, is too small for the talent of its owners.
Tables available for the end of May
In the spring of 2021, they decide to close the place – which will become another good restaurant, Purity. Camille Pailleau and Diego Delbecq are planning to move their kitchen to Marcq-en-Barœul, in a former printing works in the Bourg district. The work is going well, until a handful of local residents worried about seeing a gourmet restaurant (yes) arrive in their neighborhood appeal to the court. They are quickly dismissed, but the delay is there.
Then the raw materials crisis put a new brake on the site. The opening of the Rozó marcquois is announced for the beginning of the year 2022, then March, then May, without guarantee. But now, as we told you in the intro, it’s now official: the kitchens of the restaurant will heat up again. You can reserve your table. The first reservations were possible for May 17, but you can imagine that this date is already complete. There are still places left for the end of May and the month of June.
As a reminder, the gourmet restaurant has a lunch menu for less than 40 euros. For the evening, the price depends on the number of services sent.
