Zlatan Ibrahimovic went out on Wednesday and criticized Argentina’s World Cup gold celebrations, which attracted attention, when the goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was caught on film when he asked for a moment of silence for Kylian Mbappé and held up a doll with the Frenchman’s face on it.
Ibrahimovic said that it is not possible to respect the celebrations of some Argentine players, and said that they will not win more titles in the future.
Just over a day later, Ibrahimovic’s quote has reached Argentina – and former national team player Sergio Agüero is not particularly happy.
Agüero, who supported the Argentine players during the World Cup in Qatar, thinks Ibrahimovic has the wrong focus and should concentrate on his own.
– If you have to talk about other people’s behavior, you are the last one to talk. I think you are wrong here, says Agüero during a live broadcast on his own Twitch account.
He continues:
– And Messi won. Maybe it makes you angry, that Messi has won the World Cup and you have to admit that Messi is the best soccer player in the world.
Agüero does not think he is too critical of Ibrahimovic.
– Did I go too hard on Zlatan? He went hard on my teammates. And I was also there, so he’s actually talking about me too, he says and continues:

Agüero hung up his boots in 2021. His last club was Barcelona, but he made the most appearances for Manchester City and Atlético Madrid. With Argentina, he was noted for 41 goals in 101 A international matches.
