Due to a tweet, the Lebanese singer Elissa has infuriated some Egyptians on communication sites in the past few hours.
The owner of “Aishalak” ignited a wave of criticism after she asked, by reposting her tweet, to hold a sit-in in front of the British embassy in Beirut to demand the release of Egyptian prisoner Alaa Abdel-Fattah.
“You are not welcome hashtag”
However, this invitation did not go unnoticed, as the hashtag #Elisa_Not_You_Welcome_to_Egypt spread widely on Twitter, coinciding with the announcement of her concert in Egypt on November 18th.
It’s just from the Lebanese artist who deleted the tweet, and posted another praising Egypt’s climate summit organization.
And he wrote: “At the height of the crisis we are experiencing, Egypt was able to bring the world together in Sharm El-Sheikh for the most important meeting on the climate that threatens our lives and the future of the planet. conference that will place him on the world map with his vision of the future. My second country proudly.”
However, this changed nothing, as the new tweet again divided opinion, as some saw that he had interfered in the internal affairs of an Arab country, and then retracted his words.
However, the owner of “Aishalak” has not commented on the aggression to which she was subjected, contenting herself with republishing the press reports that broadcast her tweet, in which she describes Egypt as her second home.
Interestingly, Elissa has been preparing for some time to finish her new album, contracting with some of the brightest musical names in the Arab world.
