The long-awaited sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is coming soon. The fact that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor differs from its predecessor in many ways has already been revealed several times. So Respawn now explains that Cal Kestis isn’t always alone this time.
Of course, while Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will once again be a single-player adventure, that doesn’t mean Cal will always be alone on unknown planets. While he was aided by friends on the ship in Fallen Order, in the new game he will actually have several characters joining him on his adventure. These companions will mostly fight automatically during your adventure and also have an attack that you can trigger on command.
But that is not all. For example, a travel companion can automatically react to an action you take to unleash a devastating combo that you can then build upon yourself. There are no tutorials for these combos; the idea is that they come about naturally, like the often spontaneous collaborations in the films.
The first character you encounter this way is Bode Akuna. Already seen in trailers, he has a jetpack that allows for a dangerous aerial attack. It is not known who else is traveling with him.
Still walking alone in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
By the way, just because you’re occasionally joined by another character doesn’t mean you’re never alone in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. For example, these characters will not join you if you go back in search of optional content. There will likely also be many periods in the story where Cal is unaccompanied for a while.
