In case someone hugs you for no reason today, don’t be scared, it’s International Hug Day. Today, January 21, is the International Day of Hugs around the world.
The idea was launched in the 1980s by an American pastor. Kevin Zaborney encouraged parishioners to show their feelings in public. It was first celebrated on January 21, 1986 in Clio, Michigan, United States. We don’t think you need such a holiday to take someone in your arms, but it’s good to know what this day means.
