Klaasje Meijer is no longer a member of girl group K3. She gave her last performance on Sunday evening with Hanne and Marthe, who made an emotional goodbye by expressing their love for their departing colleague. “We’re going to miss you, Klaasje.”
It came like a bolt from the blue in February, when Klaasje announced that she would be leaving K3. More than half a year later, her last performance with the girl group is now also on it. After six years, that resulted in an emotional evening.
Klaasje’s two colleagues, Hanne and Marthe, made it an emotional evening. Studio 100 shared the images of the last words they had for Klaasje on Instagram. First we hear Hanne say how she found her magical and how she really enjoyed the time together. “I thought it was an honor to stand next to you and enjoy the magic. We had a lot of laughs and I learned a lot from you. We have become like sisters. I’m going to miss you terribly,” she said with tears streaming down her cheeks. “But we will continue to see each other. You are really a topper.”
Then Marthe spoke. “I was actually planning to prepare something, but I soon realized that my letter was going to be too long. So I’m going to keep it short. I want to start with the fact that I love you so much.” She praised Klaasje’s enthusiasm and cheerfulness, who always cheered her up when needed. “And that’s what got me through all the hard times for those six years.”
They understand the choice, they both said. “It feels so good between us, and I hope we can keep it that way in the future.”

The last word was of course for a fiercely emotional Klaasje. “Yes, now I can… What sweet words. This moment had to come. But if it is there, then it is just as very difficult. Your words touch me very deeply,” she said. “It feels so hard to end this way now, but I do know that I made a deliberate choice.”
She thanked the audience, the crew, the technique, the dancers, but above all her colleagues. “I want to thank you two for everything we’ve been through together, it was a really intense period. But perhaps the most beautiful period of my life. And I am very grateful to you for that. For all the support, for all the fun, for all the crazy things, for all the fun things and for all the difficult things. Never forget that you are forever in my heart.”
