Cuban influencer Alain Lambert Sánchez, better known by his social media name, Paparazzi Cubano, is celebrating obtaining his permanent residence in the United States.
Through social networks, the content creator thanked all the people who have helped him in the process of obtaining a legal stay in the United States, an achievement he achieved this Friday thanks to the Cuban Adjustment Law.
“Today I am overflowing with happiness, grateful for the opportunity that the United States has given me by opening its doors to me and granting me residency. My heart overflows with gratitude,” he wrote on his Facebook profile.
The Cuban attached to his publication photos with several of the people who have helped him since he arrived as a migrant in the United States in August 2022, until now that he has fulfilled the dream of many by obtaining the long-awaited “green card.”
“Thank you to the incredible lawyer Claudia Cañizarez, for her invaluable help, and to the journalists Mario Vallejo and Rolando Nápoles for covering this wonderful blessing in my life. Together we are unstoppable, thank you all for being part of this new beginning full of opportunities! ”She wrote in her post.
The Cuban dictatorship against Alain Paparazzi Cubano
Permanent residence in the US is a great relief for Lambert, who was included on a blacklist by the Castro regime, accused of terrorism. The list was delivered by the Cuban authorities to the US delegation that attended the most recent round of bilateral dialogue.
In an interview with the television station América Tevé, Alain admitted to being somewhat afraid, but denied that this was going to slow down his informative and critical work.
“You always feel fear when you face dictatorship, but as I always say: ‘always do it.’ We are not going to lower it even a little bit,” she declared.
The influencer’s immigration lawyer commented that she feared that Alain’s inclusion on the dictatorship’s blacklist would hinder his immigration process, precisely because of the charge of “terrorism”, but this did not happen.
“We had talked about it. I told him, ‘I’m not worried,’ but I did hope that this might cause some delay with his residency. However, the government has proven his residency without an interview and he already has it in his hands,” he declared.
Journey of Alain Cuban Paparazzi to the US
Alain left Cuba with his family in 2020, heading to Panama, where they tried to establish themselves and request political asylum.
His request for protection was frustrated by conditions that prevented him from speaking against the Cuban regime, with enormous tension with sympathizers of the dictatorship in Panama, which hindered his activism.
Finally, he decided to take the migrant route to the US-Mexico border, and after a long and difficult journey he arrived in Miami in 2002.
