Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Yotova expressed her anticipation for President Rumen Radev to initiate consultations with political parties following the formation of the national Assembly. Speaking in Sozopol, Yotova emphasized the urgency of establishing a functioning government.
“I expect President Radev, after the official meetings and after the parliamentary groups are constituted and the National Assembly is operational, to invite the parties for consultations, as the constitution dictates,” Yotova stated. “I think we’ve waited enough. In his latest comments, the president emphasized his expectation that the parliament will work an hour sooner, in order to unblock the procedure. What happened yesterday with the election of Mrs. Kiselova as Speaker of the Parliament justifies my optimism.”
“This is extremely important in order to start the procedures for forming a government, as well as to adopt the state budget and to calm down both municipalities and the health system, because living in this unpredictability and unpredictability is more then tough,” Yotova added.
