Yotova: People got tired and don’t believe anymore – 2024-09-04 20:31:11

/ world today news/ The biggest challenge today is to win the trust of the Bulgarians, who are tired and don’t trust anyone.

This was said by Vice President Iliyana Yotova, who today visited the municipality of Belitsa, met with the mayor Radoslav Revanski, after which she was a guest at the winter holiday at the “Semkovo” resort in Rila, known as an academic resort, reported the BGNES correspondent for the region.

Our goal, as a presidential institution, is fair, just and peaceful elections. So that the Bulgarian citizen goes to the polls and votes according to his conscience, attitude and convictions, for the one he thinks will bring good to the country. This is our ambition. Everything else – spoiling the elections, cashing in, this is not the time to talk about it. Thus, the vice president answered a reporter’s question whether the problem with the delivery of the voting machines would fail the upcoming parliamentary elections.

“I am not bothered by the malice of the political parties at the moment, which have started the election campaign for the upcoming parliamentary elections in the final of the presidential elections, I hope that reason will prevail in one direction and the other.” People are tired, they don’t believe anymore, and winning their trust is the biggest challenge at the moment,” said the vice-president.

Iliana Yotova also commented on the program for the development of mountain municipalities, such as Belica.

“Even under the previous government, we started the program for the development of mountain municipalities. I can say that with the previous Minister of Regional Development Liliana Pavlova we had a very good understanding, we worked together on the program. The European program will become a fact from 2020 onwards, my conquest as European Commissioner was the special financing of mountain regions. I fought for there to be earmarked money for the mountains in Europe. Because when money comes for regional development, it goes first to the sea, where there is a quick return. In the mountains it is more difficult in terms of accessibility, infrastructure. But when the money comes, I believe that the Bulgarian municipalities will have their hands free to do what is best for them”, believes Yotova.
