Yorbe Vertessen is in the interest of FC Union Berlin, Toulouse and Valencia, PSV watcher Rik Elfrink reported on Monday on behalf of the Eindhovens Dagblad. The PSV winger must replace Sheraldo Becker in the German capital, who is approaching a transfer to Villarreal. Vertessen himself would like to leave the club.
Vertessen would like to play. At PSV, the 23-year-old attacker is currently third in the pecking order, behind Hirving Lozano and Noa Lang. Peter Bosz sometimes even appoints Malik Tillman in favor of Vertessen.
Vertessen was already rented out by PSV last season. The lightning-fast attacker temporarily played for Union Sint-Gillis. He played twenty times for the club from Belgium. Vertessen scored four times and provided three assists. According to Elfrink, clubs from the Jupiler Pro League also have ‘latent’ interest in the attack leader.
Now Vertessen can add a new competition to his resume. At Union he will have to replace Becker and at Toulouse he can become a teammate of Thijs Dallinga and Stijn Spierings, among others.
Vertessen came to Eindhoven at the age of eight. He went through almost all of the club’s youth teams and played a total of 97 times in the main squad. Vertessen scored 17 times and provided 10 assists.
To accommodate Vertessen’s departure, PSV has its eye on Manchester United player Facundo Pellistri, according to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Eindhoven team hope to rent the Uruguayan from United, but will face competition from Los Angeles Galaxy.
