Gimhae City Hall Yoon Ha-je, the only Gyeongnam player to participate in the 2023 Jinju Asian Weightlifting Championships, won the silver medal in total along with the gold medal in the women’s 87kg class.

However, both the first and second trials failed and were on the verge of disqualification. In the last 3rd period, he dramatically succeeded in lifting 99kg and came in 5th place.
Younhaje achieved a reversal in the ensuing portrait. From his first period, he lifted 130kg, which was overwhelmingly heavier than other players, and quickly jumped to the top in the total. Then, in the second period, he succeeded in lifting 2kg to 132kg, securing the first place in the sweep and securing a silver medal in total. Yoon Ha-je said, “I felt more at ease from the moment I came because I thought that I was going to have a tournament in Gyeongnam, my hometown.” He said, “I couldn’t train much due to a shoulder injury in the impression, and in the jerk, my confidence was low after the last competition.”
Yoon Ha-je has proven her competitiveness on the Asian stage with her performance in this tournament, and is raising expectations for the Hangzhou Asian Games to be held in September this year. He said, “There are still many shortcomings and there are many seniors who are better than me.” said.
