Yoo Sang-cheol “chemotherapy pain…I can’t eat one week” (‘Ubicontinue’)

Yoo Sang-cheol, a former national football player who is fighting pancreatic cancer, recalled the pain of chemotherapy.

On the 16th, the 10th episode of Yoo Sang-cheol’s documentary’Ubicontinue’ was published on the YouTube channel’Touch Play’. In the video, Yoo Sang-cheol met with members of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup, including Song Jong-guk, Choi Jin-cheol, Lee Chun-su, Lee Un-jae, and Hyun Young-min.

When Lee Chun-soo said, “My face seems to be getting better,” Yoo Sang-cheol said, “It seems like I’ve gained weight.

However, only my belly and face are gaining weight. My belly button is deepened,” he said, making everyone laugh.

Yoo Sang-cheol, who had received chemotherapy at the same hospital as Choi Jin-cheol’s father, talked about the pain of chemotherapy. “It’s not normal to continue chemotherapy,” he said.

I can’t eat it for a week after getting (anticancer injection). It becomes very sensitive to the smell and taste. “I can’t eat a week, so when I’m in good condition, I feel like I’m getting more weight.”

Meanwhile, Yoo Sang-cheol announced the fact of the 4th stage of pancreatic cancer in 2019, when he was active as Incheon United FC manager, and is currently focusing on treatment.
