Yonsei Medical Center secures 33 additional beds for patients with severe coronavirus

– Yonsei Medical Center announced on the 22nd that it has secured 33 additional beds to treat gastric and severe patients with novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

There are 25 beds in Severance Hospital (Sinchon) and 8 beds in Gangnam Severance Hospital. Shinchon Hospital, which had been operating 5 severely ill patients so far, secured an additional 20 beds as the number of patients increased. More than half of these are planned to be provided for the treatment of patients with gastric or severe illness. All of them are prepared in the infectious ward, have negative pressure facilities, and have 130 people including specialists and nurses. Gangnam Hospital has secured three additional treatment beds for severely ill patients, and 45 dedicated medical staff are scheduled to be deployed.

Shinchon Hospital had 38 corona19 patients visited the hospital until the 17th. Twenty-five people have been discharged, all six have been discharged, and five are currently hospitalized.
