Yolanthe Cabau and Wesley Sneijder still get along well. The couple split up in 2019 after Sneijder cheated, but Cabau has never spoken a bad word about his father to their son Xess Xava.
“And that won’t happen either,” Cabau writes in her column for Kek Mama. “His father is sweet, fun and one of the best football players ever. Wes is Xess’s great hero – and I wish them both that feeling.” When Cabau and Sneijder separated, Xess was three years old. He therefore had little experience of the divorce. “In addition, Wesley was not at home much at the time, so the change was not that great. Enough has happened between us, but Xess has nothing to do with that.”

In December, Cabau and Sneijder even celebrated Christmas together. “It was a great moment for Xess: he was sitting by the Christmas tree with presents and mom and dad. It’s fantastic that we can do this together.” However, Cabau prefers not to share those kinds of moments on sciela media. “Never, that just provokes trouble.” In the past, Sneijder has repeatedly expressed the hope that he and Cabau can still get together.
