Yohenry Brito Arrested in Connection to Attack Near Times Square: Latest Updates and Charges

Yohenry Brito is in jail on $15,000 bail and is accused of being one of those responsible for the attack that occurred on January 27 outside an immigrant shelter near Times Square.

Brito would have been responsible for initiating the attack against the uniformed officers by resisting arrest.

Before the Grand Jury he pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct and petty theft, crimes he had committed before the incident.

However, new charges were brought against him for the attack, which were not revealed.

The immigrant will be processed in March and is currently being held in the Rikers Island jail.

About fifteen people participated in the attack, most of them immigrants who had recently arrived in the city.

Authorities are still searching for eight suspects.
