Huáscar Ynoa got his first career win, Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies backed him up with home runs and the Atlanta Braves beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-4 on Friday.
Ynoa (1-1) allowed just two runs and a pair of hits in six innings. The Dominican right-hander had a 3-0 lead before allowing Carson Kelly’s two-run homer in the fifth.
Ynoa’s memorable night also included his first two hits in the majors and his first RBI.
The 22-year-old pitcher doubled to left field off Luke Weaver (1-2) in the third inning.
In the fourth, he added an RBI single.
Ynoa’s terrific performance helped the Braves snap Arizona’s four-game winning streak.
