Ynoa achieves 1st win, hit and RBI; Braves prevail

Huáscar Ynoa got his first career win, Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies backed him up with home runs and the Atlanta Braves beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-4 on Friday.

Ynoa (1-1) allowed just two runs and a pair of hits in six innings. The Dominican right-hander had a 3-0 lead before allowing Carson Kelly’s two-run homer in the fifth.

Ynoa’s memorable night also included his first two hits in the majors and his first RBI.

The 22-year-old pitcher doubled to left field off Luke Weaver (1-2) in the third inning.

In the fourth, he added an RBI single.

Ynoa’s terrific performance helped the Braves snap Arizona’s four-game winning streak.

For the Diamondbacks, Venezuelans David Pralta 4-1 with one scored, Asdrúbal Cabrera 2-1 with one scored, Eduardo Escobar 4-0.

For the Braves, Venezuelans Ronald Acuña 4-0, Ehire Adrianza 1-0. The Dominicans Marcell Ozuna 2-0 with a scored, Ynoa 2-2 with an RBI. Cuban Guillermo Heredia 4-1 with one scored.
