YG Entertainment announced its official position that it was “under discussion” regarding the renewal of the contract with Lisa.
As of 2:30 pm on the KOSDAQ market on the 12th, YG Entertainment is trading at 73,200 won, down 7.22% (5,700 won) from the previous day. The stock price, which started at 79,700 won on the day, fell to 72,000 won during the day. It is 24.5% lower than the 52-week reported price (97,000 won) recorded on May 31 last year.
On this day, the Munhwa Ilbo quoted Lisa’s Chinese agency and raised the possibility that the contract renewal could not be renewed, saying that YG had heard that it was difficult to discuss the schedule after August because Lisa’s contract renewal was unclear.
Regarding this, YG Entertainment said, “It is because of her tour and personal schedule that Lisa’s program schedule in China is a problem. It has nothing to do with whether or not the contract is signed,” he said.
BLACKPINK debuted on August 8, 2016, and their contract is about to expire in August. According to reports, Jenny, Rosé, and Jisoo, excluding Lisa, are reportedly discussing ways to extend their contracts.
