The well-known Ukrainian midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka, who became a player of the Romanian Cluj last week, played his first match for this team yesterday.

The 33-year-old football player was included in Cluj’s squad for the return match of the 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League with the Turkish Adana Demirspor, and in the 75th minute he entered the game, replacing Ermal Krasniqi. The Ukrainian did not manage to distinguish himself by effective actions for the playing time allotted to him.
Let’s add that Cluj failed to qualify for the next round of the Conference League: the first match between Konoplyanka and Adana ended in a draw, 1:1, and in the return match, the representative of Turkey turned out to be stronger – 2:1.
