Yet barefoot and handcuffed behind his back, Robin Singh is still running… Behind the scenes of the incredible escape that occurred this Tuesday in Lantin

Sentenced to 10 years in prison, the man was incarcerated in Arlon prison. He had been taken to the Lantin penitentiary establishment since he had to undergo medical examinations in a hospital in the Liège region. So, around 2 p.m., the two DAB agents in charge of transferring detainees got off the combi to announce themselves at Lantin prison. Robin Singh then found himself alone in a combi parked in front of the central entrance to the establishment. He then opened an electric window of the vehicle and managed to pass through this providential opening before taking off. The man left his slippers there, probably to run faster.

The alert was quickly given and the two ATM agents set out in pursuit of the fugitive without ever being able to reach him, although the latter was handcuffed behind his back. Research has obviously been undertaken. Police officers from the region were called apparently late, as was a Federal Police helicopter and even a tracking dog. In vain… at least at the time of writing these lines.

Pimping of girls

It obviously remains to be seen whether this somewhat comical escape was premeditated or whether Singh took advantage of an opportunity. We will simply note that the tracking dog which was taken to the scene suddenly lost track of the fugitive, which suggests that the latter got into a vehicle.

This is because Robin Singh is not someone to underestimate. In March 2022, the Seresian was sentenced to 10 years in prison before the Liège Court of Appeal. He was convicted there of human trafficking and prostituting girls aged 14 to 16.

The events took place between November 2019 and December 2, 2020. The young girls explained that initially, they were prostituted by a single man, but that the latter had joined forces with three other people to have control over them . They explained that they had been assaulted, which the defendants denied. All were sentenced to criminal proceedings, Singh being the only one to appeal.

Advertisements were placed on the specialized site “Red Light District.” One of the clients who was arrested by the young age of the prostitute then decided to denounce the facts. At the time, Robin Singh denied having participated in the prostitution of the three young girls. He only admitted to having profited from the income of one of them without ever having forced her to engage in prostitution…
