Little Ronny gets a bicycle and a remote-controlled drone for his tenth birthday, but then the party gets out of hand and there is a fight with his mother’s partner. But the pressure on the main suspect Matthias Precht is also increasing, because he is being put under additional pressure by Gordon Kleinschmidt: the son of the director of the home, Gaby Kleinschmidt, says that the educator has abused children several times. Doreen Brasch, who also takes a close look at Sabine Hartwig’s partner René Maier, naturally has all the alarm bells ringing, but she doesn’t get any further…
“Police call” criticism: How is “Ronny” from Magdeburg?
The search for a missing child is a turbulent affair, but it is in the crime thriller “Polizeiruf 110: Ronny” directed by director Barbara Ott unfortunately far too static is processed: one conversation follows the next and it feels like all the surveys and dialogues last twice as long as they would have to in order to advance the plot. The bottom line is one in view of the gripping topic surprisingly threadbare “Polizeiruf” from Magdeburg, where Inspector Brasch is often out and about with a flashlight to shed light on Ronny’s mysterious disappearance, which she doesn’t manage to do for a long time.
One police questioning follows the next, and there are more or less revealing conversations between the figures involved – a tedious process that is hardly broken up by other plot elements. In addition, this “police call” also shows that the solo investigator Doreen Brasch would do well to have a new colleague to bring more investigative dynamics into the Magdeburg crime novels. Supervisor Lemp, who only acts in some scenes, simply cannot replace a permanent second power.
