A Bordeaux company becomes the European leader in the rental of motorhomes and vans between individuals. Yescapa has just announced its merger with the Dutch company Goboony. Its CEO Benoît Panel was the guest of L’éco d’ici this Monday.
“Together, we go faster, we go further, we go more peacefully.” This is how the CEO of Yescapa Benoît Panel justified in L’éco d’ici this Monday on France Bleu Gironde, the merger of his company with the Dutch Goboony. A marriage announced at the end of August, which should create, according to the Bordeaux company, “the largest leisure vehicle sharing platform in Europe and with almost 30,000 vehicles available”mainly motorhomes and vans.
While Yescapa was mainly deployed in France, Italy and the Iberian Peninsula, this merger allows its users to benefit from a catalog “on the countries of northern Europe, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Great Britain”, explains Benoît Panel this Monday. For that, “60 developers will work” to create a unique platform in “less than a year”, predicts the CEO of Yescapa. In the meantime, the platforms of both sites remain active and functional.
Yescapa, who counts 120 employees, a third of whom work from its headquarters in Bordeaux, will not eliminate jobs. “It’s a commitment that we made to the team, as soon as we spoke to them about the project six months ago,” assures Benoît Panel. Recruitments to support a “growth of 30% compared to 2022”, calculates Benoît Panel, who even says he has “lack of vehicles” this summer to be able to meet demand.
