A while ago we got cool behind-the-scenes images from The Suicide Squad but it remained unclear whether this second Suicide Squad film would be R-rated or not. Now actor Joel Kinnaman conclusive given.
The film comes from the sleeve of Guardians of the Galaxy-Director James Gunn which previously all the R-rated films Super in Slith made. This is what Kinnaman – who again plays Rick Flag – said of Gunn’s approach to the DC superhero movie, to The Hollywood Reporter:
“That movie is going to be insane. The script is so funny. Every page of that script was funny and every page made me laugh. James just masters that genre, but also every aspect of comedy and even the marketing. He just understands that world. so good. He reinvents not only the concepts, but also the characters. “
The Suicide Squad: “keihard R-rated”
“For me it was like doing my first comedy, but this one is also heavily R-rated,” confirmed Kinnaman. “So much of the action is hands-on, with real explosions, and yes, that movie is going to be insane. He put together such a great cast.”
The Suicide Squad is scheduled for August 2021 and below you can see again that cool video with footage from behind the scenes.
