Justice has decided. This Wednesday morning, the administrative court of
Nice rejected
the Human Rights League request who wanted to cancel the order of the mayor of Nice “prohibiting travel in certain areas” from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The association, which points to a text that it says is “discriminatory”, denounces a “political maneuver” which aims “to stigmatize and to show authoritarianism towards the populations of the working-class neighborhoods”. She will appeal.

April 7, Christian Estrosi announced “ tighter rules to avoid the groupings that we have identified more numerous in certain areas ”. A new decree puts forward a scheduled curfew from 10 p.m. across the city at 8 p.m. in several districts, notably that of Moulins, to the west.
The judge noted that “this measure concerns only a very small part of the municipal territory [1,3 %] and only increased the prefectural ban by two hours, all of these restrictions ending on May 11 “.
“It is therefore limited in time and space”, and “meets the objectives of preventing the epidemic”, specifies the jurisdiction according to which “the mayor retains the fullness of the exercise of his general police power to take measures to accompany those of the State ”.
