“Yes, Bulgaria” will appear in a coalition with “Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” in the elections in October. This was decided by the National Council of the formation at its meeting today. With the decision of the National Council, the Executive Council is given a mandate to conclude a pre-election agreement for joint participation in the elections for the 51st National Assembly of “Yes, Bulgaria!” in a coalition with “We continue the change” and “Democrats for a strong Bulgaria”.
In the absence of conditions to complete the process of negotiating a new long-term political agreement now, a new mandate will be given after the election to negotiate such an agreement, including based on the results, the statement said.
The National Council of “Yes, Bulgaria” believes that in order for the PP-DB to fulfill its main political mission as a representative of the democratic community, it should set the following goals: restoring the trust in the coalition of at least 100 thousand of those lost during the last vote voters; establishment of the coalition as a secure mandate holder according to the procedure, with a view to the full implementation of the governance formula approved by the coalition.
In addition, the National Council assigns the Headquarters of “Yes, Bulgaria!” to develop and implement a strategy for the campaign, which will ensure maximum mobilization and use of the potential of the messages of “Yes, Bulgaria!” and the majoritarian capacity of the candidates for a positive and coordinated with the general PP-DB preferential campaign strategy, it is also stated in the text of the adopted resolution.
“We have set goals for the return of voters, we will motivate our structures to achieve the maximum result in the next elections,” said Bozhidar Bojanov after the council.
“I am glad that the members of the council acted extremely responsibly, we set clear goals for the campaign”, added Ivaylo Mirchev.
Yesterday, “Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria” announced that their decision is to remain in the “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria” coalition.
