The daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur, Yenny Wahid, conveyed instructions to Gus Dur’s Cadre Front (Barricade) to support Ganjar Pranowo or Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election. PKB chairman and vice presidential candidate (bacawapres) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin respond casually to the instructions.
Cak Imin said he didn’t care about Yenny’s instructions. He stated that this was not PKB’s business.
“That’s not my business, not PKB’s business,” he said Cak Imin to journalists in Paculgowang, East Java, Sunday (10/9/2023).

He also said that he often had different choices from the Yenny camp in political contestations, especially the presidential election.
“Four times we have had different elections,” added Cak Imin.
The instructions regarding support were conveyed by Yenny after Harlah KH Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur at Unhasy Tebuireng Field, Jombang. The fourth President of the Republic of Indonesia should be commemorated with a national rally and prayers with thousands of Gus Dur Barricades in East Java.
“The political direction (for Gus Dur’s Barricade) is 2. So, if yesterday there were still 3 (presidential candidates), now there are only 2 candidate pairs that are our consideration. Not three more candidate pairs,” said Yenny to journalists at the location, Thursday ( 7/9/2023).
The two presidential candidates Yenny refers to are Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto and former Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo. This means that the current direction of support is only leaning towards these 2 names.
