Zannuba Ariffah Chafsoh or Yenny Wahid said that the presidential candidate for the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP), Anies Baswedan, is the most suitable partner with the Democratic Party (PD) chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) in 2024. According to Yenny, the Anies-AHY duet is cool.
“Now this (Anies-AHY) is the most suitable, the top. Okay, that’s it, this is cool,” said Yenny to Anies and AHY at the Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta, Thursday (10/8/2023).
“So from the figure and so on (AHY) it’s the most suitable. Okay. I’ll say goodbye now,” he continued.
For your information, Yenny came to attend the launch of AHY’s book entitled ‘AHY’s Transformation Tetralogy: A Collection of Thoughts & Ideas by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono’. When asked, Yenny admitted that she often communicates with Anies. Yenny referred to Anies as the ‘boss’.
“Yes, I often chatted from the past, my boss (Anies) used to be,” said Yenny.
“Earlier, you were asked whether you were chatting or not? Yes, chatting. What were you talking about, I just smiled, I’m sorry I said,” said Anies to Yenny.
As previously reported, Yenny Wahid is ready to run as a candidate for vice presidential candidate if he is appointed as one of the presidential candidates who are widely advancing in the 2024 presidential election.
“As someone who has been in politics for quite a long time, you must be prepared to hold public office. Because of that, one of our goals is to hold strategic public positions so that we can make public policies that make positive changes in society,” he said. Yenny, after the event with MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo, received the Delegation of the President of the Global Council for Tolerance & Peace (GCTP) and the signing of the MoU at the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (8/8).
“So for people who are already in the world of politics, of course, when there is momentum, when an opportunity is created, yes, they must be willing if indeed their goal is to work in the field of public policy. I also fall into that category, of course I have to be ready, I have to be willing, You have to prepare yourself. Of course you have to prepare yourself,” Yenny added, answering the question whether she was ready if she was appointed as vice presidential candidate.
