Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The share price of the listed metaverse provider PT Wir Asia Tbk (WIRG) became the top gainers after jumping up to the 25% upper auto rejection (ARA) limit at the close of session I today, Tuesday (12/4/2022).
Including WIRG, here are the top gainers stocks this afternoon (12/4).

According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), WIRG’s shares shot up 24.82% to Rp 855/unit. With this, since its debut (IPO) on Monday last week (4/4), WIRG’s shares have consistently closed soaring & touching the ARA limit.
Practically, since the IPO, WIRG’s shares have skyrocketed by 408.93%.
Along with this significant spike, on Monday (11/4), the stock exchange announced an unusual price increase (unusual market activity/UMA in WIRG shares.
Just so you know, WIRG’s offering price is Rp. 168/share with a total of 11,919,159,000 shares listed. In this IPO, WIRG managed to raise Rp 431.89 billion in funds.
In its IPO prospectus, WIRG stated that “the company’s vision is to provide a metaverse world that everyone can enjoy.”
In business since 2009, initially WIRG’s business activities included digital reality technology development services, including Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual reality (VR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) through the AR&Co technology unit.
WIRG has also completed various projects in the fields of education, publishing, and games. WIR Group in 2015 expanded its business activities to provide media/advertising services.
Currently, WIRG claims that their company “has developed into a leading player in digital reality technology (digital reality), which includes AR, VR, AI in Indonesia or internationally.”
Furthermore, the IPO prospectus states that the WIR Group has 5 technology patents (which are registered within the AR technology scope) and received various awards and recognitions.
As is known, the metaverse world is currently a hot topic of discussion among crypto asset ‘players’ because of the promising future projections. The social media giant Meta (formerly Facebook) has also announced that it has entered the metaverse industry since the fourth quarter of last year.
However, unlike the fate of WIRG shares, the price of the majority of major crypto assets fell today amid concerns from rising inflation in the United States (US) and the tightening of the US central bank’s monetary policy.
For example, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 5.36% in the last 24 hours to US$ 39,965 and Ethereum (ETH) fell 5.59% to US$ 3,000.
In addition to WIRG, shares of issuer palm oil (CPO) GZCO and state-owned steel producer KRAS rose 11.61% and 7.53% respectively this afternoon.
