Yemen’s Houthi Rocket Attack on Gabonese Ship in Red Sea – AFP Reports

From a US battle frigate a rocket was fired by the Yemeni Navy in the Red Sea, but it blew up near a merchant ship owned by Gabon.

That’s what AFP wrote. The agency cited Yemen’s Houthi movement.

According to Houthi spokesman Mohamed Abdul-Salam, the incident affected the Gabonese-owned ship, which was traveling from Russia.

The spokesman expressed concern, saying the Red Sea could become a volatile battleground if perceived bullying by the US and its allies continues.

The news of the American attack comes after a series of Houthi attacks against ships in the Red Sea.
