The government of Yemen announced that it hopes the Saudi-Iranian agreement will change Tehran’s policies.

And the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: “On this basis, the Yemeni government hopes that the agreement of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran will constitute a new phase of relations in the region, starting with Iran’s cessation of interference in Yemeni affairs, and that its approval of this agreement will not be a result of the internal conditions and international pressures it faces.” the Iranian regime,” according to Saba Net.

She added, “The position of the Yemeni government depends on actions and practices, not words and allegations, and therefore it will continue to deal cautiously towards the Iranian regime until it sees a real change in its behavior and its destructive policies in our country and the region.”

The announcement of the China-brokered deal followed four days of previously unannounced talks in Beijing between top security officials from the two countries.

A statement issued by Iran, Saudi Arabia and China said that Tehran and Riyadh agreed “to resume diplomatic relations between them and to reopen their embassies and representations within a maximum period of two months.” “The agreement includes their affirmation of respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs,” he added.
