Yemen: Houthis besiege businessman’s house in Sana’a

Yemeni businessman Al-Khamri is a victim of violence by the Shiite group

Yemeni businessman Mustafa Al-Khamri has reported that Houthi militiamen aboard thirty military vehicles are besieging his home in Sana’a.

In a video published on his Facebook account, Al-Khamiri spoke of acts of violence against him by the rebel group. In particular, a siege of his house is underway by security teams and armed men. They belong to a “gang” affiliated with a Houthi militia leader in Sana’a.

Behind this violence is Nasser Al-Arjali aided by more than 30 members of the Houthi militias who are part of the Special Security Forces.

Al-Khamri said Houthi militants blocked the roads leading to his house and prevented anyone from entering the house. They also spread out on the roofs of nearby houses, to prevent his family members from entering and leaving the house.

In a video posted on his Facebook account he states that he was still in his office at 5pm on Monday. The entrepreneur could not return home due to the siege.

He added in the video, which he titled “Notice to security authorities,” “My house has been under siege since this morning, until this moment.”

He stressed that these forces blocked the roads leading to the house located on Sixtieth Street, west of Sana’a.

The Minister of Information of the legitimate government of Yemen, Muammar Al-Eryani, spoke on the matter. He condemned and denounced the siege of the house of businessman Al-Khamri by the Houthi militia.

He explained that this crime confirms that the militia continues to implement its plan to demolish the private sector and eliminate well-known business companies in the areas under its control. This is for the benefit of the companies and investors affiliated with it. With the aim of completely controlling the commercial sector and the national economy.
