Yellow Warning Signal for Thunderstorm Gale in Southern Texas – Defense Guidelines and Precautions

It is expected that around midnight on the 24th to the early morning of the 25th, there will be thunderstorms in all districts and counties of our city except Laiwu District and Gangcheng District. For this reason, the Jinan Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for thunderstorms and strong winds at 21:45 on July 24, 2023, please pay attention to precautions.

Defense Guidelines:

1. Properly keep valuable electrical equipment vulnerable to lightning strikes, and put them in a safe place after power failure;

2. Residents in dangerous areas and dilapidated houses, as well as ships, should take shelter from the wind. Never take shelter under trees, poles, or tower cranes, and turn off your mobile phone when there is lightning;

3. Cut off the neon signs and dangerous outdoor power supply;

4. Stop open-air collective activities and evacuate people immediately;

5. Outdoor operators such as high altitudes and water should stop working, and personnel in dangerous areas should evacuate.
