Daytime temperatures will rise slightly and the maximums will be 1°-2°
A yellow code for snow and ice has been issued by NIMH for 6 regions in western and northwestern Bulgaria. It is for Sofia city, Sofia region, Pernik, Vidin, Montana and Vratsa.
Today will be mostly cloudy across the country. There will still be snowfall in parts of western Bulgaria before midday, but it will stop temporarily in the afternoon, according to NIMH forecasts.
It will blow from light, in eastern Bulgaria to moderate southeasterly wind. In the Danube plain the winds will be light from the east-northeast.
Warning for icing on country roads
Daily temperatures will rise slightly and the maximums will be from 1°-2° in north-western regions to 9°-11° in the east, in Sofia – about 3°.
In the evening from the west-southwest new rainfall will begin which will cover almost the whole country on Thursday night. In many places in western Bulgaria there will be ice conditions.
In northwestern Bulgaria the precipitation will be mainly snow and new snow cover is expected to form – up to 10 cm.
In the mountains it will be mostly cloudy. Snow showers are expected at times during the day, heavier at night against Thursday.
