Yellow Code for High Winds and Rain Issued for 16 Regions of the Country by National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology

A yellow code for high winds has been issued for tomorrow for 16 regions of the country. This was announced by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).

The warning is valid for the regions of Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Kardjali, Pazardzhik, Razgrad, Sliven, Smolyan, Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Haskovo, Shumen, Yambol.mess

Temporarily strong south wind with gusts up to 20-24 meters/second will blow in these places. The wind is expected to weaken in the afternoon.

For 5 regions – Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Smolyan, Kardjali and Haskovo, a yellow code is in force for significant rainfall of 20-35 liters per square meter.

The forecast for Sunday predicts rain in many places, and thunder in some areas. The minimum temperatures will be 1-3 degrees, and on the high western fields they will reach 14-16 degrees.

In Sofia, the thermometers will show about 3 degrees early in the morning, and the maximum temperatures will reach 11 degrees. Atmospheric pressure will continue to decrease and will be significantly lower than the average for the month.
