Ireland is experiencing stormy weather with gusts of wind up to 110km/h reported across Cork, Kerry, and Clare. There have also been reports of lightning on the southwest coast. Cork and Kerry are both under a Status Orange wind warning, while a yellow wind warning is in effect until 3pm for Cork, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, and Galway. Another yellow wind warning will affect most of Leinster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford from 8am to 8pm. A marine warning has also been issued, with west to northwest winds expected to reach storm force 10 at times on Irish coastal waters. The rest of the country is experiencing unsettled weather dominated by low pressure. Wednesday started off very windy, with strong to gale force northwest winds developing across the country, and showers are expected to merge into longer spells of rain throughout the day. Thursday will bring a mix of sunny spells and showers, with the heaviest showers forecast in the north and east. Meanwhile, the UK Met Office has issued a status yellow wind warning for Antrim and Down.
