Yellow Alert Issued for Southern Districts of Kerala: Heavy Rains & Thunderstorms Expected

Thiruvananthapuram: Yellow alert on Friday in southern districts of Kerala. Rain warning has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts. The Central Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in anticipation of the possibility of isolated heavy rains.

Also, on September 22 and 23 (Friday and Saturday), the Meteorological Department has warned that there will be rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in the state and wind speed of 30 to 40 km per hour.
