During this night Senapred decreed a Yellow Alert for five communes due to the increase of the flow in the Diguillín and Chillán rivers.

These are the communes of El Carmen, Pinto, San Ignacio, Chillán, Pinto and Coihueco.

According to the information provided by the General Directorate of Water (DGA)through its hydrometric records delivered by the station installed on the Diguillín river in San Lorenzo, a flood process has occurred, reaching a flow of 358.99 m3/s and at a level of 3.11 meters high, remaining above the DGA’s yellow technical alert threshold. This river crosses the communes of El Carmen, Pinto and San Ignacio.

Meanwhile, the station installed in the Chillán river in Esperanza 2, has presented a flood process reaching a flow of 182.58 m3/s and at a level of 3.09 meters high.

With the declaration of the yellow alertthe necessary resources will be prepared in stages to intervene according to the evolution of the event, in order to prevent it grows in extension and severity, minimizing the negative effects on people, their property and the environment.
