Yellow alert for rain, wind, storm and hail

The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) issued a yellow alert for the northeast of the country.

Due to an atmospheric disturbance that is affecting the country, it is expected that rainfall. Some can be punctually intense in short periods.

In addition, as detailed from the institute, you can register isolated storms, an occasional hail fall, intense electrical activity and strong gusts of wind.

The main affected localities are: the department of Cerro Largo; Cerro Chato, in Florida; June 19, José Batlle y Ordoñez, José Pedro Varela y Zapicá, in Lavalleja; Amarillo, Arroyo Blanco, Cerrillada, Cerro Pelado, La Puente, Las Flores, Moirones, Paso Hospital and Vichadero, in Rivera; July 18, Barra del Chuy, Cebollati, Chuy, La Coronilla, Lascano, Puimayen and San Luis, in Rocha; Caraguata, Las Toscas, Pueblo de Barro and Punta de Carretera, in Tacuarembó; and the entire department of Treinta y Tres.

The alert will be updated at 00:00 this Tuesday.
