However, 15 years later, Pugacheva turned to Druzhinin with a request to take up her anniversary concert “PS”, and he unexpectedly agreed. However, he soon regretted his decision. After all, the queen of Russian show business turned out to be extremely demanding of the troupe, sometimes not even knowing what exactly she wanted. However, Yegor is sympathetic to the style of her work.
–“Alla Borisovna, for all her complexity, is an absolutely theatrical person,” the director explained. – She never rejects just like that, does not say: “Bring me something else, but better.” Rejecting, always offers. This is perhaps the only thing that sometimes reconciled me with the nature of her work. She intuitively knows where she is going. Represents the result, but the way to achieve the goal is not always clear to her. Alla Borisovna often uttered a phrase that really hurt me: “I don’t know you.” This applied not only to me, but also to my ballet. We are used to being big stars. Yes, Pugacheva and I crossed paths a couple of times on different projects, but we didn’t really work. What does it really mean? This is when a star is directing his own show. This is her statement and, perhaps, one of the last. Therefore, of course, Alla Borisovna refers to this accordingly. She will never believe that you need it as much as she does. Egor admits that several times he even wanted to end cooperation with Pugacheva, only the support of friends, as well as the resilience of colleagues helped him withstand the tension. Druzhinin recalls: the boiling point was the number on which the dancers worked hard, but in the end Pugacheva rejected it.
