“Years were lost due to grudges, political discussions and decisions”

The president of the PSD, Marcel Ciolacu, reproaches the president Klaus Iohannis for his involvement in the electoral campaigns and believes that “there were years lost” because of “grudge and political discussions and some decisions taken at that time”.

Asked in an Antena 3 show broadcast on Sunday evening to make an evaluation of the two mandates of President Iohannis, Ciolacu said that he is not a fan of him.

“I am not the evaluator nor a fan of President Klaus Iohannis, he is the president of Romania and I treated the presidential institution with respect. I would have liked that at certain moments of his reign he would treat all parties with the same measure, not get involved in electoral campaigns, I think it would have been a very good thing for democracy in Romania and for the future of Romania, but each of us will answer of his deeds and what we did while we were statesmen in various capacities.

I’m not in the laudatory mode. My opinion is that years were lost because of grudges and political discussions and decisions at that time,” said Ciolacu.
