Annie, who again found love with her boyfriend Paul (90) five years ago, is the oldest soap couple in the world with Ray Verhaeghe (also 95). At the moment they are not on set, because the recordings are stopped. Also ‘Family’ is on holiday for a month. But after that summer break, she is not immediately expected back in the studio. In the first two blocks of filming, each lasting four weeks, she is completely absent from the story. “At the start of the new season, I will therefore not be in the picture for about two months,” says Annie. “No problem for me. Each role goes through a wave motion and sometimes gets more and sometimes less attention. I’ve been that way for 30 years. Recently, there are also more young people in the series and they should also be discussed, right? After all, the world belongs to the youth. That short hiatus on TV doesn’t mean my character will disappear from the series, though. The screenwriters assured me: ‘The Bomma is not going away by a long shot’. I am therefore confident.”
