Year of independence 64: 1,100 recipients with honors on national and foreign soil – AGP

Libreville, August 16, 2024 (AGP) – As part of the celebrations of the 64th anniversary of the independence of Gabon, one thousand one hundred (1100) people spread throughout the entire national territory and in the fifty-two representations diplomat of Gabon abroad. on this Friday, August 16, award medals for the actions done for the country.

At the Boulevard Léon Mba esplanade in Libreville, six hundred recipients received their medals. Many of them were promoted to the rank of Commander, Officer and Knight in one or the other of the two national orders: the National Order of the Equator Star and the National Merit.

To this end, the Transitional President, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, Prime Minister Raymond Ndong Sima and the Chancellor of National Orders, Vice Admiral Yves Keba Malekou, each presented this emblem to the present, in the presence of members of the transitional government, the CTRI and diplomatic representatives.

According to the Chancellor of National Orders, the organizer of the event, this year’s group is made up, in addition to the senior administration, of area chiefs, surface technicians, indigenous people, cultural speakers and signs, economic operators, etc.

The colorful ceremony, organized by the Republican Guard, comes after the consideration of the files of the 1,342 candidates, which was carried out last July by the Council of National Orders.
